Description | Special Trade Representative William Denman Eberle has resigned. The President intends to nominate Eberle to be Executive Director of the Council on International Economic policy replacing Peter Flanigan who resigned. Governor Nelson Rockefeller sworn in by President Ford as the 41st Vice President of the US. Secretary of Transportation Claude Stout Brinegar has resigned. Roy Ash has resigned as Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Mr Charles W Robinson nominated for the vacancy in the State Department for an Economic Under Secretary. Bob Oakley has taken the place of Hal Saunders in the Middle East section of the National Security Council. Saunders has moved over to the State Department as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs. Donald Rumsfeld appointed as White House co-ordinator but will continue at the same time as US permanent representative on the North Atlantic Council. William D Rogers is to replace Jack Kubisch as the Assistant Secretary for Inter-American Affairs in the State Department. Philip Habib is to be Assistant Secretary Designate for East Asian and Pacific Affairs. Alan Greenspan to succeed Herbert Stein as Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. Charles Cooper is to replace Jack Hennessy as Assistant Secretary for International Affairs. Robert Ingersoll to replace Mr Rush as the Deputy Secretary of State. |
